ENG201 English Communication Skills I
ENG 201 is the first three-credit course of the REP sequence. Course work focuses on advanced reading and writing skills.
Completing this level of the REP will allow you to refine your written skills at an upper-intermediate to advanced level in preparation for the core and major courses taught in English.
The course is directed in communicative approach through language games, role play, authentic materials, and also task-oriented practices.
There is a set of assessment methods used for the course such as regular assignments, quizzes, partial exams, projects and final exam (Required by the University Academic Policy).
As a three-credit course, you are expected to have 45 contact hours per semester; 15 weeks; 2 days per week; 3 hrs. Per week; and 1 hr and 15 min per day.
During the Fall and Spring Academic Semesters, classes meet Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
You must be open to accepting a morning or evening schedule depending on availability.
